Kansas City could find themselves looking for some lineman in the draft and in free agency depending on how the Jeff Allen and Donald Stephenson play out. If this ends up being the case, familiarity and cost could be a factor in the Chiefs signing the 2015 Super Bowl champion to a short and likely not expensive contract. Andy Reid knows this player very well and if he feels like he could offer anything in helping Kansas City win more game he’s more than likely already had that conversation with Dorsey. It is worth noting that Mathis did recently comment that the Chiefs never contacted him when he was a free agent last year.
