KJ Dillon – S – West Virginia

Strengths: Ideal size and shows a very well rounded game in his film, Dillon is a “jack of all trades, master of none” type player.  Appears equally comfortable vs the run or the pass and can make plays in both areas.

Has a nose for the ball and understands how to put himself in the right place at the right time.  Technically sound in most aspects of his assignments, and demonstrates an understanding of the nuances of the game.

Weaknesses: Not a top shelf athlete, Dillon appears to be more of a role player and Special Teams guy.  While he is technically sound for the most part, he will show some laziness in his technique at times which will cost him.  Not as good as he thinks he is, and may need someone to check him early.

The Fit: The Chiefs are set for their starters (once Berry is re-signed), but are likely to lose Husain Abdullah and Tyvon Branch (possibly Daniel Sorenson as well).  They’ll need someone to fill in that 3rd safety role they utilize, and it would be better to try and develop that player internally rather than constantly going outside the organization.
