If you’re a Kansas City Chiefs fan in the offseason as well as during the Autumn months, it probably means you can’t wait for draft day. However, since that holy day among football purists is still 68 days away, all we can do besides hope is, give the gifts a shake, to see if we can tell what’s inside.

For any Chiefs fan offering a mock draft, they’re really doing nothing more than playing Charades for pick number 28, because every mock is filled with a bunch of… looks likebegins with… or could be… plus, there’s a whole lot of guessing going on.  So, we’ll just go ahead and play some Charades at the end of each prospect evaluation.

I’ve chosen three prospects who are likely to be available when it’s the Chiefs turn to select. These three prospects are not just random prospects. They’re chosen for different reasons. Some of these prospects appear between rankings 25-35 in Daniel Jeremiah’s Top 50 Prospects list for NFL.com.

Some of these prospects appear in a list created by Joel Thorman at Arrowhead Pride who wrote a piece this week called, “What 30 NFL mock drafts say about the Kansas City Chiefs pick.” And some of these prospects are chosen because CBS Sports and DraftTek have ranked them in the general vicinity of the 28th vortex…. plus these prospects are offered as “frequently” available when performing a mock at popular online draft generators.
