Good morning, Addicts! Hopefully you had a great weekend and are ready to tackle the second half of February. Amazingly, we are only three weeks from the start of NFL free agency. It seems like that should be further in the distance, but it actually just a hop, skip and a jump.
Of course, all of that leaves us with plenty to talk about. Add on that the NFL Scouting Combine is beginning on Feb. 23, and we are right in the thick of things. It should be fun, and certainly keep our heads on a collective swivel for all things Kansas City Chiefs.
Here is the news you need to know…
Travis Kelce says Chiefs are not concerned about dating show – Joel Thorman of Arrowhead Pride
"Kelce has had two strong seasons in a row so he’s shown that he’s a hard worker who can get results. And we have to remember that NFL players are not robots who study their playbook all day long. So, yeah, I plan on watching the show."
Alex Smith driving off tees into of down the field – Garrett Johnston of the Kansas City Star
"Within Smith’s foursome was 1994 Super Bowl MVP Steve Young, who had an enjoyable time walking the fairways of Spyglass Hill Golf Course, Monterey Peninsula Country Club, and Pebble Beach. The event started Thursday and concluded on Sunday."
Free agents the Chiefs should consider in 2016 – Greg Florkowski of KC Kingdom
"Eric Weddle, due to injury, was held out of three games. That brings his durability into question. He would be a perfect person to sign to a one or two-year contract. In that time, the Chiefs could draft a safety and groom them to replace Weddle when he leaves."
