Cleveland Browns:  The Browns are unlikely to try and move up for the top pick in the draft according to Sashi Brown.  The new Cleveland personnel guru told reporters that if anything, the team would look to trade back in the draft…which means both of the top spots in the draft may be up for grabs.

Dallas Cowboys:  The Cowboys may be in a bit of a quarterback conundrum.  While the rumors have been swirling about Jerry Jones going after Johnny Manziel, it took all of one Senior Bowl practice for people to start connecting Carson Wentz to the Cowboys.  On top of that, there is still uncertainty regarding Tony Romo’s shoulder moving forward.

Kansas City Chiefs:  Star tight end Travis Kelce will be the star of his own reality dating show on E!, titled “Catching Kelce”.  The show will feature the flamboyant young Chief choosing a bride to be from among 50 women, one from each state.  In actual football-related news, young punt return star De’Anthony Thomas has tweeted out that he fully intends to be back in 2016.  There had been some speculation as to whether or not Thomas would return to football.

Chiefs’ Take

: Assurances have been made that Kelce’s show will not affect the team in any way.  However, given Kelce’s friendship with players on the team, notably Charcandrick West, don’t be surprised if one or two teammates make surprise appearances.  The last time a Chiefs player appeared on a reality dating show, it resulted in some romantic drama involving quarterback Aaron Murray and his would be sister in-law.

  • Chiefs’ Take: The Chiefs return game suffered without Thomas fielding punts, and it wasn’t too surprising that one of the first Senior Bowl interviews for the team was with a guy projected to be a punt returner in the NFL in Braxton Miller.
  • Author’s Take: I’m glad to hear that Thomas is coming back, but it still begs the question of what happened at the end of this past year as there are conflicting reports from the team and DAT.  That also leads to the question of what guarantees we have that a similar situation won’t happen again.  I would think John Dorsey would want the same kind of clarification, if he hasn’t already gotten it.
  • Miami Dolphins:  Former 1st round pick, Dion Jordan, is set to return from suspension in 2016, but may find the Dolphins less than welcoming.  The team has made it clear that Jordan will have to show a lot more in order to make the roster this upcoming season.
