New England Patriots (-4) at Denver Broncos

This is going to be a fun game for anybody who roots for the Chiefs. Kansas City may have been eliminated by the Patriots, but everybody who bleeds red and yellow (or gold, for folks who think the Chiefs war gold) wants New England to win by approximately 55 points.

The Patriots are favored in this game and for good reason. New England is the best team in the AFC, and this time they play the Broncos with Julian Edelman, Danny Amendola, Dont’a Hightower and Jamie Collins. This should be a rolling by the Patriots, who frankly, are perhaps the most underrated team in NFL history.

People don’t quite seem to grasp the magnitude of what this franchise has done. You can talk about the cheating and all that, but the Patriots are about to go to a seventh Super Bowl in 16 years during the salary cap era. It’s never going to happen again, and New England deserves to be recognized for all of its greatness.

This game is being billed as Tom Brady vs. Peyton Manning, but in reality, this is the end for one man and the continuing coronation for another.

Pick: New England 27, Denver 10

Next: NFC Championship
