Andy Reid and staff to coach Pro Bowl

The National Football League has announced that Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid and his staff will be coaching at the 2016 Pro Bowl. Typically, the two teams with the best records that lose in the Divisional round of the NFL playoffs send their coaching staffs. This year, it is the Chiefs and Green Bay Packers.

Reid being at the game with the coaching staff is a nice little advantage going into the offseason. There will be some players there that either become free agents this year or down the road. If they have a positive experience getting to know Reid and his assistants, perhaps they hope for a reunion down the road.

Kansas City will have a very large representation at the game. The Chiefs are sending five players including Marcus Peters, Eric Berry, Travis Kelce, Justin Houston and Tamba Hali. If the Carolina Panthers go to the Super Bowl, there will suddenly be 10 more openings in the game, including ones at cornerback and inside linebacker. You can bet everything that Derrick Johnson will be named as a Pro Bowler to replace Luke Kuechly.

While the game is boring and ridiculous, it is always nice to see some of our great players out on that field, being recognized.
