Jeremy Maclin, Justin Houston ACTIVE
The Kansas City Chiefs got some tremendous news about 90 minutes before the kickoff against the New England Patriots, with wide receiver Jeremy Maclin, and outside linebackers Justin Houston and Tamba Hali all active.
How effective any of them will be is anybody’s guess, but you really have to give these guys a ton of credit. Houston is playing on a bum knee, Hali has a balky knee and a broken hand, and Maclin is playing only a week after sustained a high ankle sprain.
The Chiefs are going to give the Patriots hell. Whether or not they win this game remains to be seen, but Kansas City has the capability to get the job done. The Chiefs have won 11 consecutive games and might not be getting the credit nationally that they deserve.
For both teams, injuries are a huge storyline coming into the afternoon but all the key players are playing. New England has a full compliment of guys with the returns of Julian Edelman, Sebastian Vollmer, Chandler Jones, Dont’a Hightower and others.
I hope you are ready for one heck of a game.
