There is a rumor floating around that somebody pulled the fire alarm at the hotel the Chiefs are staying at ahead of today’s playoff game.

The article pushing this rumor comes to us from the KC Star. The rumor was apparently floating around on Twitter, however, not a single one of the Twitter accounts the Star cites is even remotely credible. In fact, they actually cite Pro Football Central which is an account/site long known for being run by a hack that makes up and guesses at “insider” information.

The only credible report I can seem to find is from Bob Fescoe.

It is possible that the incident in question is actually just what Fescoe is reporting. You know how rumors get spread. One guy tells another that the sprinklers in the parking garage at the hotel the Chiefs are staying at were set off at 6 pm and the next thing you know we’re hearing that Bill Belickik, Tom Brady and hell, even Gisele Bundchen entered the hotel in ski masks at 3 am, whacked Justin Houston and Alex Smith in the knees with crowbars, pulled the fire alarm and jumped into a getaway van being driven by Donald Trump.

The Patriots have often been accused of engaging in shady activity in order to gain an edge. That said, even if the fire alarm was pulled at the Chiefs’ hotel, it was likely Chucky and Morgan from Good Will Hunting and not Josh McDaniels.
