Eric Berry has been one of the best stories of the entire season. And for Chiefs fans, there is likely no debate that he is the best story hands down. Not simply for making it back on the field, but for playing well enough to earn another trip to the Pro Bowl.

He managed to show that form on Saturday when he dove for a picture perfect interception of Brian Hoyer. It set Kansas City up on the Houston 33 yard line to start their second drive of the game. It was the perfect spot to respond from missing the touchdown opportunity on the overthrow to Wilson, and should have at least resulted in a field goal.

However, after a five yard run by Spencer Ware, Smith’s pass intended for Jeremy Maclin bounced off of the receiver’s hands and into the arms of Brian Cushing inside the red zone.

At the end of their first two series of the game, K.C. could easily have been up 21 to nothing and had Houston on the ropes before the second quarter. Instead, the Texans were still very much in the game, trailing by only seven points.
