Jeff Allen – Offensive Lineman – UFA:  Nobody has done more for their future with this team than Jeff Allen has.  Though the opportunities have been limited by injury, it is clear that Andy Reid sees something in Allen at right tackle.  And in the meantime, he’s taken the next step at left guard which further increases his value.  Reid loves tough guys and Dorsey loves versatility…Jeff Allen brings both, so the Chiefs will bring him back.

Jah Reid – Offensive Tackle – UFA:  Re-signed by the Chiefs last month, Reid looks to be in a position where he can earn a starting job or be the team’s top backup.  The contract isn’t big enough to prevent the Chiefs from making any different moves, so it will be on Reid to step up and earn that spot.  Hopefully he continues to settle and develop into this offense.  He’s been a very steady hand on the right side.

Donald Stephenson – Offensive Tackle – UFA:  Take everything I just said about Jeff Allen…and reverse it.  Donald Stephenson has not done well in Andy Reid’s offense.  The concerning thing here is that it isn’t due to a lack of talent.  Stephenson just has not shown the consistency or right frame of mind for this offense.  He’ll catch on somewhere else, but I don’t see the Chiefs making that commitment.
