The Kansas City Chiefs have finally won a playoff game, and now they advance to the AFC Divisional round for the first time since 2003. They will be one of the final eight teams and either face the New England Patriots or Denver Broncos on the road.
So, the question now has to be asked, who do you want to face? If the Cincinnati Bengals beat the Pittsburgh Steelers, the Chiefs are going to Denver. Should Pittsburgh rise up on the road, the Chiefs will be playing next Saturday against the Patriots.
Personally, I want the Broncos. Denver has a horrible offense and absolutely no quarterback. The Chiefs have shown they can move the ball on Denver, even without Jeremy Maclin having a big game. Assuming Maclin is done for the year, Kansas City will need to find alternate ways to throw the ball.
New England appears to be the more daunting team, but this is a team struggling. The Patriots have lost four of their last six, and two of those losses came to the rancid Philadelphia Eagles and Miami Dolphins. Either way, the Chiefs will have a chance to win the game because the defense is playing out of its mind.
