AA lounge: Chiefs look to beat Texans
This is it. The Kansas City Chiefs are desperately trying to end an eight-game losing streak in the Wild Card game against the Houston Texans.
Let’s be honest, everybody who roots for the Chiefs is going to be nervous throughout the game. Kansas City is favored despite being on the road and for good reason. The Chiefs are the best team on the field and should win the game, but it won’t be easy. The Texans have some nice players, led by superstars DeAndre Hopkins and J.J. Watt.
Kansas City has won 10 straight games and could be one of the dark horses to not only go deep into the playoffs but perhaps go to the Super Bowl. The AFC is wide open for the first time in years, with the top two seeds looking like a pair of franchises who could be picked off in the second round.
For now, all that matters is the Chiefs going out and winning this game. Kansas City is ripe to finally put this ugly playoff streak to bed, once and for all. Kansas City has the better offense, the superior defense and a nice head coach/quarterback combination. It’s time to get this party started.
