Good morning, Addicts! It’s a beautiful Victory Monday, after the Kansas City Chiefs finished the regular season with their 10th consecutive win, beating the Oakland Raiders by a 23-17 count.

The game was never really as close as that score makes it seem. The game was 14-10 at halftime, but Kansas City was in complete control almost from the opening kickoff, taking a 14-0 lead and never looking back. The defense continues to appear like its the top unit in the National Football League, while Alex Smith and the offense is simply getting the job done. Now, the Chiefs take on the Houston Texans on Saturday afternoon.

Here’s the news you need to know:

"But each postseason is more like a snowflake than a mathematical formula, and this year is a particularly strange snowflake. Not just the Chiefs’ transformation from directionless to the sport’s hottest team. We’ve been over that, but it’s worth mentioning that Alex Smith was 2-18 when throwing two or more interceptions before Sunday, and the team that hasn’t lost since mid-October is expected to welcome back Justin Houston, its best overall player."

Kansas City enters playoffs with momentum after 10th straight winAdam Teicher of ESPN

"Kansas City has allowed more than 17 points just twice during their winning streak. Only once during the 10 games was their margin of victory fewer than seven points. The Chiefs have a nice rotation between Charcandrick West and Spencer Ware going as their featured running back. Kansas City rushed for more than 150 yards against the Raiders."
