Chiefs open as favorites over Texans
The Kansas City Chiefs are going to play the Houston Texans at NRG Stadium on Saturday afternoon in the AFC Wild Card game, and they are favorites. For the 10th consecutive week, the Chiefs are going into the game giving points, with Vegas having Kansas City favored by three points.
The Chiefs went into Houston and won the first week of the season, 27-20. The game was never that close, with the Chiefs pretty much owning the contest from start to finish. At halftime, Kansas City was leading 27-9 and Alex Smith had already thrown for more than 200 yards.
Oddly enough, three of the four road teams this weekend are favored. The Pittsburgh Steelers are laying 2.5 points against the Cincinnati Bengals, mostly because Andy Dalton is out and A.J. McCarron is making his first career postseason start. In the NFC, the Seattle Seahawks are giving a whopping six points against the Minnesota Vikings, while the host Washington Redskins are laying one point to the Green Bay Packers.
Hopefully, this is the year for the Chiefs to not only end their playoff drought, but to make some serious noise. An argument could be made that the Chiefs are the most dangerous team in the AFC.
