The Chiefs defense has quietly put together a terrific season. The team ranks second in the entire NFL in points allowed, only letting opposing teams score 18 points per game. They are also ranked eighth-overall in total defense for the season, which of the top seven only one has a chance to miss the postseason, the New York Jets. They are tied for fourth in total sacks in the NFL, and sit only behind the Carolina Panthers in interceptions with 21.

The Chiefs are +15 in the turnover differential, good for second behind the Panthers, and have six defensive touchdowns on the year. The AFC should fear this unit in the postseason, especially with star linebackers Justin Houston and Tamba Hali back.

Just a few short months ago the Chiefs were doomed, and looked to be trying to decide who they might pick in the top five selections in the NFL Draft. Now, they are one win and a loss by Denver from taking back the division and are in the playoffs. KC has bonded as a team and pulled together one the best season turnarounds in franchise history.

Even if head coach Andy Reid decides that playing the Texans in Houston would be a much better matchup and rests his starters, you cannot take away what he has done with this team. Kansas City has already done the impossible; they have made a complete 180 from where they were to where they are now. This could finally be the year the team wins in the postseason and maybe, just maybe, make a nice playoff run.

The only questions that remains for this team, is just how far this impossible feat will take them.

There you have it, Addicts. What do you think of the Chiefs season turnaround? How far do you see them going in the post season, will they win a game? Let us know in the comments.
