Chiefs favored over Raiders in Week 17

Since beating the Denver Broncos at Sports Authority Field in Week 10, the Kansas City Chiefs have been favorites in each of their contests. Week 17 will be no different, with Vegas pegging the Chiefs as a seven-point favorite over the Oakland Raiders at Arrowhead Stadium, according to OddsShark.

Kansas City was a three-point favorite in Oakland and won 34-20, using three fourth-quarter interceptions to best the silver and black. Vegas either thinks the Chiefs have regressed or the Raiders have improved since that time, otherwise Kansas City would be around a nine or 10-point favorite.

Much of the game will center around whether the Chiefs get Tamba Hali and/or Justin Houston back for the game. Kansas City was barely able to survive without them against the lowly Cleveland Browns. It will be a major problem should they both miss against Oakland, a team that can throw the ball with Derek Carr at the controls.

We know the AFC West will be in play when Kansas City takes the field on Sunday, we just don’t know if the Chiefs will need help or not. Should the Broncos lose on Monday night to the Cincinnati Bengals, Kansas City would be in control headed into the final regular-season contest of 2015.
