AA lounge: Browns at Chiefs

The Kansas City Chiefs are trying to make the postseason on Sunday afternoon against the Cleveland Browns at Arrowhead Stadium. If the Chiefs win and the New York Jets lose to the New England Patriots, the Chiefs will make the playoffs for the second time in three years under head coach Andy Reid.

However, there are some hurdles to overcome. The Chiefs will be without a host of talented players, including outside linebackers Justin Houston and Tamba Hali. Houston will miss his fourth straight game with a hyperextended knee, and Hali is dealing with a broken thumb that needed three small screws to stabilize it.

Cleveland is only 3-11, but is trying to play spoiler with Johnny Manziel at the helm. The Browns have lost seven of their last eight games and are without cornerback Joe Haden and others. Cleveland has only won one game on the road but won’t just lay down and die.

This is the type of game where Kansas City has to crush Cleveland’s spirit early. The Chiefs must be able to run the ball and protect the football, with the weather going to be windy and rainy. Hopefully Kansas City can take care of business and win its 10th game.
