On Friday, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce took some time out of his busy schedule to speak with Arrowhead Addict. The third-year star hit on a litany of topics including the team’s winning ways, Eric Berry’s comeback, and why this team can beat anybody. Kelce also talked about his recent involvement with DICK’S Sporting Goods, when he partnered with the company for a great cause.

Here is our conversation…

Q: What changed from the five-game losing streak to the current winning streak?

A: I honestly believe it was the practice week. It has improved and it keeps going up and up. We are keeping the train rolling because everyone is busting tail and taking care of their body … it is awesome to see everybody focused and on the same page. … We all have the same goals and aspirations as a team.

Q: Last year, the Chiefs beat the Seahawks and then lost to the Raiders. This year, you beat the Broncos and then pounded the Chargers. What gave you that focus?

A: The strength, being together. Learning from what happened last year. It has made us a completely different and better team on the back end because it taught us how to deal with winning and losing. Together, this is going to be a fight game in and game out.

Q: Do you feel you stack up with the big boys in the AFC?

A: Our confidence is we can play with anyone on any day and in any weather. We are confident in the guys we have. That helps us playing against the bigger-name teams and players. We know what we can do. We trust in our coaches, scheme and the guys next to us. We go out and play.
