Chiefs huge favorites over Browns

The Kansas City Chiefs are headed home for the rest of the regular season, and Vegas is looking for them to give us a strong finishing kick. In fact, the Chiefs are being installed as 14-point favorites over the Cleveland Browns, according to OddsShark.

Even for a 9-5 team hosting a 3-11 team, that is a massive spread. Kansas City has won eight straight games while Cleveland is absolutely in the tank, somewhere it has been for the greater part of the last 16 years. Vegas clearly believes the Chiefs are just on an epic roll, while seeing Cleveland as a team ready to play golf.

Personally, I can’t remember the last time the Chiefs were favored by so many points. Kansas City is giving two full touchdowns, making this one of the biggest spreads of the year. The last time the Chiefs had this many points to lay, it must have been when Trent Green and Co. were throwing the ball all over the field.

Frankly, the Chiefs should be able to cover the spread. Cleveland has one of the worst offensive lines in football and can neither run the football nor stop the run. Kansas City is built to dominate a team like this, not too mention it has so much on the line.
