Eric Berry returns to Arrowhead (Video)

When Eric Berry came back in the summer only months after being diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, it seemed too goo to be true.

For most of us, we somewhat expected Berry to come back very slowly if at all in 2015. It was not going to be a triumph right away, but more of a gradual climb. While it surely was for Berry, the Chiefs got their strong safety back both in person and deed, who has been nothing short of incredible this year.

In Week 2, Berry made his return to Arrowhead Stadium in primetime, and it was magical. Here’s a video of him coming out to what can only be described as a raucous ovation.

If that does not make you feel something as both a Chiefs fan and a human being, get to a hospital. It’s a beautiful thing watching this young man come back from a life-threatening illness, and then excelling at what he loves to do. Berry’s story is absolutely the best of the season, and one that should have him bringinig home a hoard of awards.
