89. Chiefs beat Raiders in overtime on James Hasty theft (1995)

In 1995, many people did not expect the Chiefs to do much. The previous season, Kansas City had only gone 9-7 and barely made it into the postseason before being bounced in the Wild Card round by Dan Marino and the Miami Dolphins. Headed into 1995, the Chiefs were rolling with Steve Bono at starting quarterback, certainly a downgrade from Joe Montana. It seemed the Chiefs would be lucky to be .500, but Marty Schottenheimer and Co. surprised the masses.

After winning the first two games of the season, Kansas City hosted the Raiders in a battle of 2-0 teams. The battle raged into overtime, where Jeff Hostetler drove the Radiers into Kansas City territory. However, Hostetler threw behind Tim Brown, and James Hasty was able to intercept. Hasty then chugged down the left sideline and raced into the end zone, sending the Chiefs to a 3-0 record on their way to going 13-3 and winning the AFC West.
