Last week we analyzed some names and surveyed the National Football League, looking at quarterback that could be changing teams in 2016. This week, we will look at Kansas City Chiefs players, specifically that could be changing teams.

It is early to speculate on what names could be coming to Kansas City. Instead, we’ll focus on names that could leave KC and whether or not our organization should bring them back.

Guys likely playing their last games with the Chiefs:

Tamba Hali: He’s been a mainstay on the Chiefs defense since he was drafted in 2006, but his contract voids after this season, and the team, good bad or otherwise, has to give Dee Ford an opportunity to prove just how awful his selection was.  Tamba is getting older, and will probably land somewhere looking for a passing down pass rush specialist type football player.

Derrick Johnson: His play has really stepped up in recent weeks as he returns from last years achillies injury. His contract expires at the end of the season and the Chiefs appeared to prepare his departure with the addition of two middle linebackers in the past draft, along with current starting MLB Josh Mauga being under contract. With other players perhaps being higher on the ‘wish list’ to bring back, Derrick Johnson is likely playing his last days a Chief.
