Dallas Cowboys: Cowboys owner Jerry Jones seems to just naturally oblige the sports media world. This time it was in talking about Browns quarterback Johnny Manziel. Jones stated in an interview that Manziel was one of the top five or six players on their draft board, and that he was the only one who voted in favor of drafting the troubled quarterback. With Tony Romo getting up there in years, and dealing with injuries, plus Manziel possibly being on his way out in Cleveland, don’t be surprised when this rumor starts heating up in the offseason. And speaking of bad quarterback situations, the Cowboys seem intent on making theirs worse. Tony Romo is not going to be placed on Injured Reserve until the team is out of the playoff hunt. Despite being 3-8, the Cowboys are only two games out of the division lead, meaning it’s feasible that Romo could be hanging on for several weeks rather than going through a full rehab process to get fully healthy for next season. 3-8 Jerry…time to get the picture.
Denver Broncos: The Brock Osweiler Era may be in full effect in Denver. After leading the Broncos to victory over a crippled Patriots team, it appears that the Broncos are set to go with B-Rock for the foreseeable future. With Manning struggling this year, and Osweiler being in the final year of his contract, it makes sense that Denver will want to see what he’s got. Speaking of Manning, it is believed that he wants to play again next year, though he has been publicly non-committal on the subject. On the injury front, the Broncos expect to be without safety TJ Ward and defensive tackle Sylvester Williams for at least a week. However, they may get Demarcus Ware back for this Sunday’s game against the Chargers.
Chiefs’ take
: I, for one, am hopeful that the Broncos do re-sign Osweiler. While others are singing his praises, I have noticed that the Denver offense has been pretty flat with him, despite having some tremendous play-makers on the outside. This is still a defense first team, and it will be hard to keep all of those big contracts coming in. That means more pressure on Osweiler, and I don’t think he’ll handle it.

Green Bay Packers: The Packers have gotten tight end Andrew Quarless back from Injured Reserve with Designation to Return. The Green Bay offense has been stagnant, so his return should be a huge boost, except…The tight end has also been sentenced in a case involving firing his gun in an incident in Miami. Now that the court case is over, the NFL is able to enact their own punishment, which will likely include a suspension of some sort.
Indianapolis Colts: The Colts have placed backup running back Ahmad Bradshaw on Injured Reserve. This is the third year in a row that the veteran has ended his season early, leading many to wonder if he will hang up his cleats after this one.
