Coffee with the Chiefs – Alex Smith is rolling

Good morning, Addicts! It’s a beautiful day, because it is Red Friday during Raider Week. There is nothing better as a Kansas City Chiefs fan than coming down the stretch of the regular season with everything to play for, headed to take on the hated Oakland Raiders.

This should be a very fun weekend, with tons of games going on that will impact how the Chiefs look in the standings come Monday morning.

Alex Smith is playing terrific football for Kansas City – Adam Teicher of ESPN

"Smith has thrown 283 straight passes without an interception, the fourth-longest streak in NFL history. That’s always been a part of his game. This will probably be his fifth consecutive season with more than 200 pass attempts and fewer than 10 interceptions. Only one quarterback managed such a streak in NFL history: Neil O’Donnell of the Pittsburgh Steelers from 1991-95, according to ESPN Stats & Information."

Spencer Ware and Charcandrick West to split carries at Oakland – Blair Kerkhoff of the Kansas City Star

"The production remained high. Ware rushed for 114 yards and two touchdowns in his first NFL start. West had rushed for 276 yards in the three games before his hamstring injury against the Chargers."
