Bills at Chiefs: Open thread

Are you ready for football? The Kansas City Chiefs are playing the Buffalo Bills at Arrowhead Stadium on Sunday afternoon, with the game having massive playoff implications.

Kansas City has won four straight games to go from 1-5 to 5-5, while Buffalo is trying to get back over the .500 mark, also at 5-5. Whoever wins will have a huge advantage moving forward in the AFC wild card race, holding a key tiebreaker.

The Chiefs will be without some key players, however. Kansas City is playing sans defensive end Allen Bailey, returner De’Anthony Thomas, guard Ben Grubbs, running back Charcandrick West and outside linebacker Dee Ford. On the other sideline, Buffalo is without defensive linemen Kyle Williams and Mario Williams, along with special teams ace Marcus Easley.

The weather is calling for rain throughout the game. It all adds up for a contest that is run-heavy with plenty of really solid defense. Kansas City will need to make sure it is taking care of the ball, as the slippery conditions could spell the difference.

Whoever wins will be feeling really good about themselves heading into December, while the other has plenty of work to do down the stretch.
