Eric Berry

Berry belongs first and foremost on this list. It was tremendous that he was back in a Chiefs uniform at all this season after being diagnosed with hodgkin’s lymphoma just last year.

But more than just the human triumph that is his story, Berry has been making an impact on the defense. During Kansas City’s four game winning streak he has accumulated two interceptions and 16 tackles.  He also has eight passes defended on the season, which is close to his career high of ten set in both 2012 and 2013.

Just this last week against the Chargers, Berry made a play that inspired Andy Reid to describe him as “ninja-esque.”

Berry’s is an amazing story. No matter what the record over the final six games of the 2015 regular season turns out to be, for at least one Chief, this year was a success.

And that is something I think we can all be thankful for.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

GO CHIEFS!
