Rest of the AFC

The playoff race is heating up and the Chiefs’ win puts them in prime position heading into week twelve. They also had some help in the form of resident super heroes JJ Watt and Tom Brady. Watt and the Texans took down the falling New York Jets whose defense keeps getting worse along with their quarterback play.

Ryan Fitzpatrick is not a back quarterback but it is very difficult to hold a football with a bad thumb, even on his non throwing hand, which takes the rest of his game off. At any rate an injured Fitzpatrick is better than a healthy Geno Smith. Brady and New England were also able to silence Rex Ryan and the Bills.

Buffalo pushed through a lot of injuries and mistakes to keep the game interesting. Quarterback Tyrod Taylor took some nasty looking shots and often struggled to the sideline holding his right shoulder. A tough, hard fought loss was perfect for the Chiefs as they can now face a tired and beat up Buffalo team at home in week 12.  The Dallas Cowboys were also able to beat up on the struggling Miami Dolphins to put them at the back of the wildcard line. Pittsburgh sat at home enjoying the last bye week.
