On Sunday, the Kansas City Chiefs beat the San Diego Chargers and walked out of Qualcomm Stadium (perhaps for the last time) relatively healthy.
However, the Chiefs do have some players who will require medical work throughout the week. Running back Charcandrick West had to leave in the second half because of an aching hamstring, something the team is calling a day-to-day problem. Also, slot receiver/returner De’Anthony Thomas was rocked on the first possession of the game and went through the concussion protocol. He failed the tests and will have to pass before he can return to football-related activity.
Charcandrick West is day-to-day with a hamstring strain.

Reid said DAT did not pass the concussion protocol, obviously.

On the positive side, wide receiver Jeremy Maclin went through the concussion protocol and was able to pass it, telling Terez Paylor of the Kansas City Star that he was fine during the postgame scrum in the locker room.
Jeremy Maclin ended up going through the concussion protocol, but he told me after the game he knew he was fine.

It’s likely that we will see Thomas and West on the injury report. They will join defensive end Allen Bailey, left guard Ben Grubbs and inside linebacker Ramik Wilson, who all missed Sunday’s game with various ailments. Outside linebacker Dee Ford will also be on the report, dealing with a back injury he sustained in Sunday’s warm-ups.
