Houston Texans: Brian Hoyer is going to miss this week as he continues to recover from his concussion, meaning the Texans will again turn to TJ “The Bengal Killer” Yates as they make a push for the AFC South. Brandon Weeden has been signed to back him up.
Jacksonville Jaguars: The Jags may be without wide receiver Allen Hurns for some time as he deals with a core injury. Hurns has been battling it for some time, but has now chosen to see a specialist as the issues has become worse.
Kansas City Chiefs: The Chiefs have apparently made a big decision in regards to the future of the running back position. Knile Davis was benched this week in favor of undrafted free agent Spencer Ware. After having already been supplanted by Charcandrick West, this would suggest that the team is ready to move on from Davis.
New England Patriots: The Pats suffered a big time injury with wide receiver Julian Edelman going down with a broken foot. Edelman has been Brady’s favorite receiver, leading the team in targets each of the last two years as well as so far this season. The good news for New England is that there is a chance Edelman could be back in time for the playoffs.
New York Giants: Wide receiver Victor Cruz has decided to have surgery on his calf, ending his season. Cruz has been largely ineffective this season, so hitting the reset button isn’t a bad idea. To replace him, the Giants have added Hakeem Nicks.

Philadelphia Eagles: It does not appear that Sam Bradford will be able to play this week, meaning the Eagles will again turn to Mark Sanchez. The preseason swap of Bradford and Foles doesn’t appear to be helping either team.
Pittsburgh Steelers: In an odd turn of events, the Steelers lost their starting quarterback Landry Jones to an injury this past week, which opened the door for their backup Ben Roethlisberger, who had been their injured starter, to come in and put up a masterful performance.
San Diego Chargers: Rumors are swirling that head coach Mike McCoy could be on the hot seat after what has been an extremely disappointing year for the Chargers. However, general manager Tom Telesco appears to be getting a second chance to right the ship. Chargers offensive lineman DJ Fluker apparently suffered a concussion in practice and seems unlikely to be available Sunday. This is the third time in three years that Fluker has gotten a concussion in practice.
- Chiefs’ take: It wouldn’t be surprising if the Chargers decided to clean house. During the draft, there were rumors swirling that Tennessee was interested in giving up the second overall pick, plus other compensation, to get Phillip Rivers.
St Louis Rams: The Rams have decided to switch quarterbacks and are benching Nick Foles in favor of Case Keenum. It’s got to be a bit of a disappointment for the team after they traded Sam Bradford to get Foles. However, the offense has been the obvious weak point of the team, and Keenum can’t be much worse.
Washington Redskins: Though he is already out with an injury, Junior Gallette is still about to be suspended by the NFL for his domestic violence incident while he was still a part of the Saints. This won’t really affect the Redskins at all, but it’s good to see the NFL not letting his issues be swept under the rug as he won’t be paid for those two weeks.
Well, that’s all for me Addicts. Be sure to check back next Friday for another week’s worth of what’s going on in the NFL.
