Happy Red Friday, Addicts!

As we head to San Diego for the Chiefs next contest, here is your weekly roundup of NFL news and rumors.  Obviously the big news this week is taking place in Denver, where the latest update from local media is that Peyton Manning might not even make the trip to Chicago.

There was plenty of other news around the league, but it’s tough to out-do a big time story like that.

More from Kansas City Chiefs Free Agency

Arizona Cardinals:  A scary moment unfurled this past weekend as guard Mike Iupati had to be taken off the field in an ambulance due to a neck injury.  Fortunately, he was cleared from the hospital and was able to fly home with the team.  He has even been able to return to the practice field.  After the game, quarterback Carson Palmer was seen taunting Seahawks fans, which is now resulting in a fine from the league.

Baltimore Ravens:  The NFL has admitted that a crucial mistake was made by officials on Sunday.  According to the league, the final field goal should not have counted because the Jaguars were not set.  It should have been flagged for a false start, the game ended, and the Ravens should have gotten the win.

Carolina Panthers:  Cam Newton has been catching flak for his touchdown dance against the Titans this past weekend.  Newton executed a celebration dance that had just been used by the Tennessee defense after a sack.  The defensive players took offense and got in his face…so he did it again…in their faces.

Chicago Bears:  Dan Pompei is reporting that the rehab for rookie wide receiver Kevin White is not going well.  There doesn’t appear to be much optimism that he will be able to play this year.  If rehab doesn’t start to turn around soon, even his future comes into doubt.
