RB Charcandrick West
Charcandrick West has been a pleasant surprise and made Knile Davis into a back-up back-up RB. West has been so good that he deserves even more of a focus of the offense. I especially like the way West follows his blockers and there are moments when he reminds one of Priest Holmes.
Prediction
When Jamaal Charles returns next season the Chiefs have finally found someone who deserves to take snaps away from JC. Expect that to happen next year for the dual purpose of also extending JC’s career in the process. Seeing both backs run with great effectiveness next year is going to be one fun ride. Get well soon Jamaal!
LT Eric Fisher
Eric Fisher has had a long and winding road to success. “Success?” you say? I’m of the opinion that Mr. Fisher is not as bad as many fans have him labeled to be. He’s not the bust that some are waiting to claim he is following this season. I recall watching Fisher during all his Senior Bowl week practices and thinking he was the best player on the field. Matt Miller of Bleacher Report felt the same way saying,
"“I think Eric Fisher had one of the best Senior Bowl weeks I’ve ever seen. I totally understand the buzz and the hype that he generated there because he was shutting down every pass rusher that they threw at him. He was showing power, length, quickness, he was finishing blocks, just a tough all-around player.”"
Recently, I’ve seen “that” Eric Fisher begin to emerge during games. Is he completely there yet? No. Sunday will be a good test to see how far Eric Fisher has come when he faces the best defense in the league in the Denver Broncos, even though DeMarcus Ware will be observing from the sidelines.
Prediction
The former number one overall pick will begin to show his dominance next season and K.C. fans everywhere will be glad the team didn’t give up on him… even though those fans may have.
