On defense, the Bills have allowed opponents to convert about 39% of their third downs this season. That also would have ranked about 18th in the NFL entering week nine.
So despite their 4-4 record, when it comes to the battle of third downs the Bills actually look like a more favorable matchup than the Chargers, especially when you factor in the Arrowhead home field advantage in this one. If the Chiefs offense can move the ball and put points on the board at all, I trust the defense to make some plays in this one. With this game at home and against a team that KC will be directly competing with for a Wild Card spot, its simply a must win game. Then again, if they want to control their own fate all of their remaining games are “must win”.
