San Diego:

On offense, the Chargers have converted 44% of their third downs this season. That ranked 8th best in the NFL entering week nine.

On defense, the Chargers have allowed opponents to convert 36% of their third downs this season. That ranked 9th in the NFL entering week nine.

This means that despite their 2-6 record, going head to head with Rivers and the Chargers in San Diego is going to be a tough game for the Chiefs and their playoff hopes. The Chargers have been good on third down on both sides of the ball so far this season. Plus, KC hasn’t faired very well against above average quarterbacks this season and while you may hate Philip Rivers there is no denying that he is a very good quarterback. The Chiefs will likely need to play a near perfect game to win this game and keep the dream of a seven game winning streak alive.
