Coffee with the Chiefs – International next season?

The Kansas City Chiefs are chilling on their couches, getting some rest and relaxation during the BYE week. The Chiefs are 3-5 and things have not been pretty, but yet they have a reasonable chance to make the playoffs despite a ridiculously ugly five-game losing streak.

Kansas City now has the Denver Broncos next on the schedule before taking on the San Diego Chargers. Both games are on the road, and if the Chiefs can grab a split, they would actually be in pretty good shape with four home games through the final six weeks.

Without further rambling, here is the news you need to know:

Look for Chiefs to be playing internationally sometime soonAdam Teicher of ESPN

"Not much of significance did go wrong, though. The Chiefs, as an organization at least, embraced the experience. They threw a party at a local pub for their fans who made the trip, and by all appearances, a good time was had by all."

Alex Smith showed his feisty side against the Lions Adam Teicher of ESPN

"That happened late in the second quarter of Sunday’s 45-10 win over the Detroit Lions. Smith thought Detroit’s Ziggy Ansah was being too rough when he sacked the quarterback. Smith responded with some words and a little bit of an elbow to Ansah."

Travis Kelce is absolutely unguardableSeth Keysor of Arrowhead Pride

"Additionally, the way in which Kelce has gotten his numbers stands out. How many tight ends are able to get enough YAC on bubble screens to keep their yards per catch from plummeting? Kelce is asked to do things most tight ends simply can’t do multiple times per game. That’s not a praise of the way Kelce is used (personally, I’m not always a fan), but it’s a testament to Kelce’s incredible talent that he’s able to make it work."
