Week 9 – Chiefs on BYE

Other key matchups: OAK @ PIT, MIA @ BUF, JAX @ NYJ

Even though the Chiefs are not playing in Week 9 that doesn’t mean there is nothing for the Chiefs’ fans to watch on Sunday. The Raiders and Jets are currently in the driver’s seat for the two wild card spots in the AFC with the Steelers, Bills, and Dolphins nipping at their heels. The Chiefs are a half-game behind the Bills and Dolphins yet two games behind the Jets and Raiders.

We want Pittsburgh to win against Oakland not only because we hate the Raiders but because the Chiefs already beat the Steelers so they own the head-to-head tiebreaker. Chiefs fans also want to root for Buffalo as they will be coming to Arrowhead Stadium for a Week 12 showdown.

The obvious choice for the last game is Jacksonville. The Jets are down a quarterback but I don’t think the Jaguars have the personnel to match the Jets offensively. I see Pittsburgh coming out mean and angry at home against a cocky Raiders team and getting the win. Because Miami is in Buffalo, the Bills will get the win.

That puts the wildcard as so:

Steelers (5-4)

Raiders (4-4)

Jets (4-4)

Bills (4-4)

Chiefs (3-5)

Dolphins (3-5)
