1. Jared Goff – California

This junior and third-year starter has been flying up draft boards. Goff really came onto the scene with the Golden Bears last season, when he threw for 3,973 yards and 35 touchdowns against seven interceptions, completing 62.1 percent of his throws. This year, the California native has taken his game up another notch, throwing for 1,970 yards and 17 touchdowns, albeit with nine interceptions. Goff plays in an up-tempo system, so the learning curve could be a bit large. Having him sit behind a veteran for a season could do wonders.

Goff is definitely a stay-at-home quarterback, and at 6-foot-4 and 215 pounds, you would like to see him fill out a bit. He is also coming off the worst game of his career, a 30-24 loss to the No. 3 Utah Utes. Goff threw five interceptions, costing his team a chance for a huge upset. Still, Goff has thrown for more than 300 yards in five of six games this season, and has the best mechanics/arm talent in the draft.
