Chiefs at Vikings: Inactives and AA lounge

The Kansas City Chiefs have been wildly disappointing this season. At this point, the only hope is that the team will somehow turn around their fortunes and we can all talk about how much character this team has come December. While that seems like a pipe dream, stranger things have happened.

On Sunday, the Chiefs will be at TCF Bank Stadium to take on the Minnesota Vikings, who are 2-2 and coming off their BYE week. Minnesota is led by All-Pro running back Adrian Peterson, who has been almost the entire offense this season for the Vikings. Head coach Mike Zimmer has not seen the passing game take off, and the defense has been solid albeit with eight sacks on the year.

Here are the inactives for both teams…

Chiefs: LB Josh Mauga, QB Aaron Murray, CB Marcus Cooper, OT Jah Reid, NT Dontari Poe, WR Frankie Hammond Jr. and TE Brian Parker.

Vikings: WR Charles Johnson, DE Everson Griffen, C Nick Easton, DE Justin Trattou, CB Jabari Price, TE Chase Ford and QB Taylor Heinicke

Griffen being out is a huge loss for the Vikings, as he is their leading pass-rusher over the past few seasons. As you may have also noticed, linebacker Tamba Hali is in for the Chiefs, despite being limited throughout the week with an aching knee.

There are no other surprises for Kansas City, with the seven inactives all expected. It will be interesting to see if Steven Nelson gets on the field over Jamell Fleming.

Alright, we are all set for football. Go Chiefs!
