Kansas City Chiefs RB Jamaal Charles could be done for the season.
Charles went down in the third quarter of today’s game vs. the Chicago Bears with appeared to be a non-contact injury. KC was in the red zone when Charles planted his right leg to make a cut before crumpling to the ground. The RB’s right leg appeared to give a bit and he remained on the ground clutching his right knee. He was helped off the field by two Chiefs assistants and was not putting much weight on his leg.

There is no getting around how bad Charles’ injury looked. The best case scenario would be that Charles suffered a sprain. Worst case? His season could be over.
Charles is a huge piece of the KC offense. One could argue that he IS the KC offense. If he were to miss an extended period of time, it could be hard for the Chiefs to turn their season around.
The good news is that the Chiefs have some capable backups in Knile Davis and Charcandrick West. Still, neither of those players offer the versatility that Charles brings.
