Oakland Raiders:  Linebacker Aldon Smith has plead not guilty to the DUI and hit and run charges that led to his dismissal from the 49ers.  The NFL has been watching this situation closely as Smith is technically not subject to discipline until after a legal verdict has been reached.

Pittsburgh Steelers:  The Steelers have parted ways with scapegoat kicker Josh Scobee.  To replace him, the Steelers have signed Chris Boswell.

San Diego Chargers: The Chargers have brought back veteran running back Donald Brown just one week after releasing him to make room for some temporary offensive line help.

Seattle Seahawks:  The offensive line problems in Seattle are apparently pretty frustrating for the players as well.  Offensive guard Alvin Bailey tweeted his frustration which is leading to fan backlash.

Chiefs’ take

: The Chiefs need help at guard, but Bailey isn’t it.  He’s a left guard, but wasn’t able to even get into the starting mix during preseason.

St. Louis Rams:  The Rams may have just been pulled from the race to Los Angeles.  As part of a new stadium proposal, St Louis has received corporate backing from National Car to the tune of $158 million ($7.9 million annually) for naming rights of a new stadium.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers: The Bucs may have to make do without guard Logan Mankins this week due to a groin injury.  If he does miss the game, that will put extra pressure on rookie Jameis Winston who has already been interception prone.  The Bucs have also released kicker Kyle Brindza and replaced him with Connor Barth.

Tennessee Titans:  Rookie receiver Dorial Green-Beckham had to clear a warrant on him after he failed to pay a speeding ticket.  DGB stated that it was a misunderstanding and he thought he was only given a warning.

Washington Redskins:  The Redskins are apparently the latest team to consider playing a home game in London in 2016.  The Redskins are also seeing their team logo controversy coming back into the limelight after comments supporting the team from presidential candidate Donald Trump.
