New York Giants:  An already weak Giants pass rush may take another hit this week as Robert Ayers is questionable.  The once dominant New York attack has fallen to piece in recent years, but this season has been especially bad with the loss of Jason Pierre Paul to a fireworks accident.  The team will also be without explosive wide receiver Victor Cruz who is dealing with a hamstring injury.  To try and make up for the loss of Cruz, the Giants have worked out a number of players including Wes Welker, Hakeem Nicks, and Chris Cooley.

Oakland Raiders:  Raiders owner Mark Davis is apparently considering selling a stake in the team to help with the Los Angeles relocation efforts.

  • Chiefs’ take: The Raiders have become a front-runner for moving to LA.  However, I can’t say that I’m a fan of another owner coming into play.  I like hating the Davis family, and I’m worried another high-profile name might water that down…or worse, prevent Mark Davis from making the same mistakes his dad did.

Philadelphia Eagles:  The Eagles will be without linebacker Kiko Alonso for several more weeks, but that’s good news considering it means he did not tear anything in his knee.  However, this doesn’t help in the short-term as the Eagles are also without linebacker Mychal Kendricks.

Pittsburgh Steelers:  The Steelers have lost star quarterback Ben Roethlisberger for at least a month with a knee injury.  Between injuries and suspensions, the Steelers have struggled to keep their star players on the field this season.

San Francisco 49ers:  The 49ers have been terrible on the field this season, but it’s an off the field issue that is causing problems now.  Two fans who were beaten in the bathroom at Levi’s Stadium last year are now suing the team for unspecified damages.  This incident is one of several that have occurred since the stadium’s opening.

  • Chiefs’ take: The beating happened during the game against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Seattle Seahawks:  Seahawks star running back Marshawn Lynch is dealing with a hamstring injury that may keep him out of this week’s game.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers:  The Bucs have are close to reaching a stadium renovation deal worth $100 million with Hillsborough County.  The team has offered to put up as much as $75 million, but only with stipulations that allow them to play multiple home games in other locations.

That’s it for this week, Addicts.  Be sure to check in again next Friday to catch up on all the NFL news and rumors.
