NFL Rankings: Week 3

21. Miami Dolphins (1-1; L 20-23 vs JAX) – These are the games Miami has to win if they want a shot at the playoffs.  All that money invested at defensive tackle and wide receiver in the offseason has not paid off.  Last week: 16

22. St Louis Rams (1-1; L 10-24 vs WAS) – Not the way to follow up a big win against the Seahawks.  Last week: 17

23. Houston Texans (0-2; L 17-24 vs CAR) – Arian Foster can’t come back soon enough for this team.  And can someone please tell these guys how stupid they look when they celebrate while losing?  Last week: 21

24. New York Giants (0-2; L 20-24 vs ATL) – Right now, that big investment in Eli isn’t looking so great.  Last week: 22

25. Detroit Lions (0-2; L 16-26 vs MIN) – The Lions seem content to just try and force the ball to Calvin Johnson and ignore all their other weapons.  That won’t work.  Last week: 23

26. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (1-1; W 26-19 vs NO) – That was the rebound the Bucs and Winston needed.  Of course, that’s what the Saints are good for right now.  Last week: 29

27. Washington Redskins (1-1; W 24-10 vs STL) – That was a huge win against a good team.  Is there still some life in Washington?  RGIII is losing more ground.  Last week: 30

28. Cleveland Browns (1-1; W 28-14 vs TEN) – The Browns showed that they won’t go down without a fight.  Last week: 32

29. Tennessee Titans (1-1; L 14-28 vs CLE) – The Titans had a shot to exceed expectations.  That won’t happen if you lose to the Browns.  Last week: 25

30. New Orleans Saints (0-2; L 19-26 vs TB) – The Saints offense is a shell of its former self.  This is what happens when you don’t manage your money well.  Last week: 24

31. San Francisco 49ers (1-1; L 18-43 vs PIT) – Ouch.  Some will point out there are a bunch of 0-2 teams ahead of the Niners.  However, their Week 1 win was not impressive…and this loss.  Did I say “ouch” already?  Last week: 28

32. Chicago Bears (0-2; L 23-48 vs ARI) – The Bears have had a tough opening schedule, but they haven’t even been competitive.  Cutler going down may be a blessing in disguise.  Last week: 31
