Greetings, fellow Addicts!
Excitement is in the air on the eve of a major primetime divisional game between two teams who will be fighting all season for the division title. Kansas City Chiefs fans across the globe have a sense of optimism heading into this colossal matchup and they should. Kansas City is coming off a big win in Houston against a great defense that features arguably the the best defensive player in the league.
The Chiefs were impressive, so much that they showed they can win in all three phases of the game. Houston had terrible field position most of the day with Dustin Colquitt’s coffin-kicking punts and the Chiefs had great field position most of the day from De’Anthony Thomas’s great returns. This is a solid football team that can be incredibly dangerous when they put it all together, which they did for one half last Sunday.
On the other hand you have the Denver Broncos, a team that wasn’t great overall in their performance against the Ravens but showed off superb talent on defense making things very difficult for the opposing offense. The Ravens were held to just a total of 173 yards of offense and turned the ball over two times. Denver’s defense will make you hard pressed to find many weaknesses but with the way offense was playing Sunday it may not require that much scoring to pull off a win.
Sports analysts and football fans from all over have been prophesying the end being near for Peyton Manning. After the collapse in the second half of last season where many speculated his body was breaking down and his pitiful performance last Sunday we may be seeing the final days of the Manning era. Manning finished the afternoon going 24-40 for 175 yards, zero touchdowns, and an interception. THIS Peyton Manning is my favorite and I welcome him with open arms to Arrowhead Stadium Thursday night, the defense not so much…
So what will it take for the Chiefs to get this big win over the Broncos tomorrow? Let’s discuss…
