Mike DeVito +1.4 (11th of 43)

Seeing DeVito not only come back from his torn Achilles but make such an impact is a beautiful thing. DeVito was dominating up front, forcing penetration in both run and pass defense.

Allen Bailey +0.1 (21st of 43)

Jaye Howard +1.7 (10th of 58)

Dontari Poe -0.9 (42nd of 58)

Justin Houston +4.5 (3rd of 41)

Houston was his typical self, setting the edge and forcing the run plays back inside. Meanwhile, he forced a key fumble in the second quarter when he got his first sack of the season, leading to a touchdown. Houston is one of those players that at times is unblockable. The Texans found that out the hard way.

Tamba Hali -0.6 (25th of 41)

Derrick Johnson +4.5 (2nd of 44)

Welcome back, DJ. Johnson was epic in both stopping the run and getting back into coverage on tight ends and backs. Johnson also recorded a sack of Brian Hoyer in front of many family and friends, being a Texas native. Johnson looks like he is 100 percent back from his Achilles injury, something that is a game-changer for the Chiefs.

Josh Mauga -0.1 (22nd of 44)

Marcus Peters (54th of 88)

Honestly, I believe this is a fair grade. Peters gave up at least one touchdown (although he was in perfect coverage. I have to review the film, but I couldn’t tell if the other was on him or Gaines). Peters also had three pass breakups and an interception, though, so his day was very promising.

Phillip Gaines (68th of 88)

Jamell Fleming (76th of 88)

Husain Abdullah +1.7 (8th of 67)

Ron Parker +1.0 (18th of 67)

Eric Berry +0.8 (24th of 67)

Of course, this is the best story of them all. Coming back from cancer, Berry played on 48 snaps and looked like the man we all remember, playing air-tight coverage and showing the willingness to hit with a pair of tackles and a pass defended.

Cairo Santos +1.4 (10th of 31)

Dustin Colquitt +1.3 (9th of 28)

De’Anthony Thomas +1.0 (3rd of 53)

Knile Davis +0.4 (8th of 53)
