Good morning, Addicts! I hope you all have some exciting stuff planned for Saturday, perhaps including some rest and relaxation before we all start freaking out on Sunday. I don’t know about the rest of you, but the past two weeks, every spare second I have is consumed by what is going to happen when the Kansas City Chiefs take the field. Even though thinking about it won’t make the game get here faster, it sure seems that way.

Regardless, here is the news you need to know:

Chiefs are healthy heading into contest with Texans Adam Teicher of ESPN

"Otherwise, the Chiefs will arrive in Houston in good shape. Nine of the 11 players they have listed on their injury report were probable. That list includes four of their top five wide receivers in Albert Wilson, De’Anthony Thomas, Jason Avant and rookie Chris Conley plus tight ends Travis Kelce and Demetrius Harris."

De’Anthony Thomas is extremely value to Kansas CityAdam Teicher of ESPN

"Thomas’ stats last season as a rookie weren’t dynamic. Playing occasionally as a running back but mostly as a slot receiver, Thomas caught 23 passes for 156 yards and rushed 14 times for 113 yards, including his only touchdown on a run of 17 yards."

"I want to see (CB) Marcus Peters. Peters is really good at plays in front of him. He’s got really good football instincts. The question has been the long speed, how does he handle when some teams throw over the top of him. He’s a competitive guy, though, an interesting guy to watch."

Kansas City has defense it has long envisioned Associated Press

"Pro Bowl defensive tackle Dontari Poe was coming off back surgery. Standout safety Eric Berry had just finished treatment for cancer. All-Pro pass rusher Justin Houston was trying to land a long-term contract, and there was a very real possibility that he might hold out."
