Welcome to the first Red Friday of the 2015 NFL season!

There have been developments leading up to the first regular season game for the Kansas City Chiefs.  As camp came to a close and the focus shifted to preparing for the Texans, things changed quite a bit.

Some seemingly core players have left the club.  Some left while providing some value for the franchise to carry into the 2016 Draft.  As the roster churn has progressed, one thing has been abundantly clear.  The 2015 Chiefs’ roster is improved.

“If you can improve your roster to the point of people are calling you up and wanting to orchestrate a trade with you, that’s the objective of every personnel guy” – John Dorsey

That chiefs face a tough opening quarter of the season.  Have the changes to the roster prepared them to get through the first four games with a winning record?  The product on the field will have prove that out.

The preseason isn’t necessarily a true glimpse of a team.  As the evaluation of players’ strengths and weaknesses wear on, decisions are made.  While it could still be fluid, the roster is healthy and ready to go.

Here are the nine crucial things I see going into the first weekend of the season.
