The amazing comeback of Kansas City Chiefs nose tackle Dontari Poe has been completed. On Friday’s official injury report released by the team, Poe is listed as probable. However, offensive tackle Eric Fisher and guard Jeff Allen are both listed as questionable.
It’s a bit of a surprise that Fisher is listed that way considering we heard he was all but a sure thing to play all week. However, Fisher did practice in full throughout the week, so if I had to bet, I would be looking for No. 72 to be out there against J.J. Watt come Sunday.
All the rest of the Chiefs have been listed on previous injury reports are probable, including Albert Wilson, Jason Avant, De’Anthony Thomas, Josh Mauga, Chris Conley, Demetrius Harris, Travis Kelce, and Rakeem Nunez-Roches.
For those who are unaware, being listed as probable means you have almost a 100 percent chance of playing. It is very rare for a player to be listed as probable and then see them put on the inactive list. For a player listed as questionable, it means the chances are about 50/50. Again, since Fisher and Allen practiced throughout the week in full, including with pads on, I would expect both to be active.
Luckily, nobody was listed as doubtful. Players who are listed as doubtful are almost never put on the active list for Sunday’s. The Chiefs somehow avoided this coming out of the preseason, something of a minor miracle.
