Good morning, Addicts! We are at HUMP DAYYYYYYYY. The Kansas City Chiefs are only four days away from the regular-season opener against the Houston Texans, a game that has been picked both ways by the masses. Of course, only the people picking Kansas City are correct. The other people? They are monsters.
Without any further rambling, here is the news you need to know:
Chiefs 2015 game-by-game predictions – Adam Teicher of ESPN
"Between injuries and lineup changes, the Chiefs settled on a starting offensive line only late in the preseason. Going against the Texans, who have Vince Wilfork and J.J. Watt on their defensive front, with an unsettled offensive line is a tough way to make a living. But the Chiefs will play some good defense, too, and win a close game. Chiefs 17, Texans 13. Record: 1-0."
Explaining why Donald Stephenson and Eric Fisher switched sides – Seth Keysor of Arrowhead Pride
"That said, since Fisher went down with an injury in the preseason, Stephenson has played very, very well at LT. I don’t live and die by PFF’s grades, but their deep numbers are pretty solid. And Stephenson has only given up three hurries in his time at LT since taking over. No sacks, no hits. That jibes with the eye test most of us have used in watching him play. He’s done really well."
Former Penn State basketball player makes Kansas City’s roster – Matt Norlander of CBS Sports
"It’ll be on the practice squad — but still, that’s impressive. Especially since he reportedly had not played organized football in seven years. Travis put up 7.0 points and 6.9 boards per game during the final three season of his Penn State career. He was the best man on the boards for the Nittany Lions the the last three seasons."
