AFC South
Do the Colts have Andrew Luck? Yep. So they’re going to be good. But if this team can’t protect him, it’s going to get rough. Mandatory Credit: Jasen Vinlove-USA TODAY Sports
Indianapolis Colts (15-1; 1st Place AFC South)
Story of the season – The Colts offense will be rolling this season and opponents will struggle to keep up. It’s a relatively light schedule that features only a couple of teams that will pose any real challenge. However, this is not a team built to win in the playoffs. Their offensive line and defense still have some glaring issues and that is what will eventually bite them.
Houston Texans (6-10; 2nd Place AFC South)
Story of the season – The Texans will be starting the season without Arian Foster which will cripple their offensive ability. Brian Hoyer is not the guy you want leading your team, so expect a limited passing game. The defense features a couple of big names, but should not be confused with the dominant units under the Gary Kubiak regime.
Jacksonville Jaguars (5-11; 3rd Place AFC South)
Story of the season – The record won’t reflect the talent on this team. Really, I like that Jags more than this, but their schedule is not a favorable one. Jacksonville will play some tight games, but they’re still young and have yet to establish an identity.
Tennessee Titans (2-14; 4th Place AFC South)
Story of the season – There really isn’t much to like about the Titans right now. They are a young and rebuilding team. Marcus Mariota may be their future, but that won’t help them in the present. The defense is beat up and void of much star talent.
