Chiefs vs. Seahawks: TV schedule, radio and more

The Kansas City Chiefs are opening up their slate of games at Arrowhead Stadium on Friday night with the Seattle Seahawks coming to town. Seattle was in Kansas City last year, when the Chiefs pulled off a 24-20 win over the defending Super Bowl champions in Week 11.

This time around, there will not be that much on the line. Seattle is simply trying to keep Russell Wilson upright after the offensive line put forth a brutal showing against the Denver Broncos last week. Kansas City is also looking to protect Alex Smith with a pair of backup tackles, following lower-body injuries to Eric Fisher and Jeff Allen.

Here’s how you can watch and listen to the game:

Local TV: KCTV5
National TV: NFL Network
Radio: The FOX 101
Time: 7: 00 p.m. CST
Odds: KC (-3)

It’s nice that NFL Network is carrying the game live. For those of us who don’t live in the Kansas City market, we can only pray that the Chiefs broadcast team will be the feed. Last week, we were subjected to Ron Wolfley of the Arizona Cardinals, who proceeded to trump up every player on every team. If you believe him, Logan Thomas is about to be a Hall of Fame quarterback, instead of the a mediocre third-string quarterback.

Injuries

We already know that the Chiefs will be without some key guys. Kansas City has announced that Josh Mauga, Sanders Commings and De’Anthony Thomas are game-time decisions while Junior Hemingway, Dontari Poe, Jeff Allen, Eric Fisher and Demetrius Harris are out.

Seattle news

We won’t be seeing the Legion of Boom. Kam Chancellor is holding out while Earl Thomas is still recovering from offseason shoulder surgery. Richard Sherman has been deemed a game-time decision, along with second-round rookie defensive end Frank Clark. On the offensive side, the line is being shuffled with right tackle Justin Britt being moved to left guard after horrific play in Week 1. This line is in flux, which is something dangerous against Justin Houston and Tamba Hali.
